BEAMON Assist handles the drafting, reviewing, and researching that used to eat your day – so you can focus on the judgment calls only you can make. All with enterprise-grade security (SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certified). Assist can work with real legal materials, not just prompts, including your firm's own precedents through Company Knowledge, and repositories like iManage and SharePoint, so answers are grounded in the sources that matter to you.
Draft text
You can use Assist to quickly generate new content, guided by your own style and precedents:
- Open Assist in your BEAMON workspace.
- Type your request in plain language, for example:
- "Draft an introduction for a client alert on ESG reporting."
- "Write a neutral summary of this clause."
- Review the generated text and edit it as needed. You can also ask Assist to reformat the output as bullet points, a table, a timeline, or within a strict length limit or refine it further with follow-up questions.
Review documents
Assist can help you check and improve existing content:
- Paste the section of text you want to review or upload the document.
- Ask Assist to:
- Suggest improvements for style and readability.
- Check for consistency.
- Compare clauses across documents and highlight potential risks or issues.
- Check content against your firm's own policies or precedents.
- Review the feedback and apply changes selectively.

Research information
You can use Assist in two ways when researching:
- Without tools: Assist answers based on the LLM's reasoning capabilities.
-
With tools enabled: Assist can access additional sources:
- Web Search & Legal Sources – to find information from external sources.
- Publisher Content – to access statutes, commentary, and case law from publisher databases.
- Company Knowledge and connected repositories – to bring in your firm's own precedents from centrally managed knowledge folders, or from connected systems like iManage and SharePoint.
Every answer shows its thinking steps, so you can see how Assist reasoned through your question and which tools it used before generating a response.
Data Security and Privacy
Assist processes your queries differently depending on whether you enable tools.
Secure data, wherever it's processed. BEAMON is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certified. Your data is not used for training and not shared for secondary purposes.
Processing Without Tools Enabled
- Queries are processed solely by the Large Language Model (LLM) hosted on Microsoft Azure, delivering high-quality legal answers.
- Requests and responses are deleted immediately after processing.
- Data is neither retained nor used for training.
Processing With Tools Enabled
Choose Assist with or without tools. You can enable tools such as Web Search, Legal Sources, or Publisher Content.
- Only the selected tool receives your query.

- Minimal data is shared externally.
- Processing is governed by professional secrecy laws (§ 43e BRAO, § 203 StGB) and contractual safeguards.

You can enable Personal Data Redaction when using tools, to automatically redact personally identifiable information such as names, contact details, financial information, identity documents, vehicle details, and organization names before it's sent to third-party providers. This needs to be switched on for your organization first; once enabled, you can toggle it per chat from the gear icon. Learn more about Personal Data Redaction.

- Queries are transmitted to an external search provider, which has a zero data retention policy.
- Results are used solely to return accurate content within Assist and are deleted immediately after processing.
