When you connect an Extract project to a BRYTER database, you can also transfer the uploaded files themselves, not just the extracted answers. This way, you always have the original document alongside your data in the BRYTER platform.
Before you start
Make sure that:
- your Extract grid is fully set up
- you've already connected your Extract project to a BRYTER database
Transfer files to the BRYTER platform
1. Add a file field to your BRYTER database
- In the BRYTER platform, open your connected database.
- Go to the CONFIGURATION tab and click Edit database fields.
- Add a new field named exactly
Main Contract. - Set the Type to
Fileand save.
The field name Main Contract must match exactly, including capitalisation and spaces. Otherwise the files won't be transferred.
2. Remove existing documents from the grid
Files are only transferred when a document is added to the grid. Documents that were added before the Main Contract field existed won't be transferred retroactively.
In your Extract project, open Grid Review and remove these documents by clicking the × next to their names.
Removing a document from the grid also deletes its answers. They're generated again when you add the document back.
3. Add the documents to the grid again
Click + Add documents in the Document column and select the documents again. See Add Documents to Your Grid.
4. Check your BRYTER database
Go back to your database in the BRYTER platform and reload the page. Depending on the number and size of the documents, the transfer can take a few minutes.
Documents larger than 20 MB are not transferred to the database.
Check that it worked
Once the transfer is complete, each row in your database should contain:
- the extracted answers for the document
- the original file in the
Main Contractfield
